welcome friends!

Welcome to Eddie Florano’s world of island music and the music of the continental world. This magnificent ukulele player can really entertain with truckloads of his original music! In fact, you can buy digital download of his music at Apple+iTunes and other e-music services.

Eddie Florano is one of the new talents in the “indie” world today. Grand prize winner of Glory songwriting competition in 2004, the songwriter of the official theme song of PNANJ (Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey) and songwriter of the 2nd official theme song of PNAA (Philippine Nurses Association of America), but his music has spanned myriad styles from Hawaiian, Island, Gospel, inspirational, pop, folk, reggae, blues, country, rock and ethnic music. He has constantly expanded his musical palette throughout his career, absorbing many other genres including new wave, techno and alternative music. He has a reputation as a “songwriting” workaholic and branded as one of the fastest songwriters today, having released more than twelve (12) albums in three (3) years under his own name and is known for having composed and recorded many more songs that remain unreleased. He writes, composes and produces all of his music single-handedly, and plays most, if not, all of the instruments on his albums. Critics and colleagues have referred to the quality of Eddie Florano's work and its versatility as being indicative of musical genius.

He is currently in New Jersey bringing island music to the continental world. He feels that playing ukulele will bring Hawaiian and Caribbean mode in the continental world. Thus, it brings joy and it eases the pain of the biting cold of the winter, spring and fall seasons as well as it cools your temper during traffic jams on a very hot summer day.

Aside from the ukulele, he plays other instruments in recordings and as a bass player in almost every gig. In fact, he is currently the bass player of the tropical band called “Tradewinds” and the disco/party bands called “Pandora's Box” and “Heat Wave” while he plays rhythm, lead guitars and vocals of the Gospel Band called "Heaven Sent".

His popular Ukulele songs are (from online download at Apple+iTunes): Ukulele in the wintertime (see album), Ukulele Reggae (see album), LBI, Jersey Shore, Slowdancing in the sand, Starry nightKnockin' at your doorLoca Loco and Wildwood sunrise (see album). His other popular songs are (still from online download at Apple+iTunes): I'm in-love with an Islander, Boardwalk, Under the Lemon Tree, I wanna Thank My Martini (see album), Reggae Party and Boracay (see album). If you can't hear the preview songs from CDBaby links, go to Apple+iTunes.

His popular ethnic songs are Pit Señor Santo Niño, Dancing Aguila – techno-ethnic song (see album) and Ati-atihan (see album).

He was invited to sing at the 100th year anniversary of Atlantic City last 2005. Thus, his excitement led him to write and perform both “Atlantic City” and “Boardwalk” songs (see album). He also wrote a song called “Soldiers” (see album) to thank the American arm forces and allies who are fighting for his freedom and yours. In fact, “Soldiers” song became #2 at soundclick.com’s world-reggae chart. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, he wrote a song called “New Orleans Tribute” and the song became #2 at soundclick.com’s acoustic-folk chart. His gospel "acoustic version" song called "I Pray" (song attached is the new rock version - see album) became #1 at soundclick's main acoustic chart for the whole month of May in 2005. His song called "Don't keep away" (see album) became #1 at soundclick's acoustic-rock chart. His most popular inspirational song called "Hope" (see album) hit the indie e-radio stations especially in Canada. He also wrote a tribute called "Freedom will never run away" (see album) to the 9-11 Twin towers' victims and heroes. As reflection of what's going on (mostly sad news) around the world, he wrote a song called "Holy War" (see album) to remind the intelligent mankind that we are all brothers and sisters of the same Creator. It's really ironic that a gentile wrote a unifying song for all of us... The world shouldn't end with hate but peace, love and brotherhood.

He said, it’s an awesome experience to write, perform music and be a part of the fast-growing diverse American music and culture. He is, indeed, one of the best “indie” artists and one of the fastest singer-songwriters today.

Since most of the digital downloads came from Apple+iTunes-UK, Apple+iTunes-Europe and Apple-iTunes-USA, he wrote a song called "Europe" and "USA" (see album) to give importance to their generosity and kindness.

He wrote a French-English-Spanish song called "Noel Sans Christ-Navidad Sin Cristo" (see album) to summarize what's going on during Christmas season. It's really unfortunate to celebrate Christmas when the infant Jesus Christ (or the crece of baby Jesus) is not invited at schools, malls and other public properties. He is the main reason for the season folks, not the angels, not the reindeers, not the snowmen, not the north pole and not even Santa Claus. The same thing with the "Easter celebration" wherein it's the Resurection of Christ, not the easter bunny. So, he wrote a song called "In 3 Days" (see album). Please teach the kids of who or what they're really celebrating. To hear more about the Christmas album, click here (or @Apple+iTunes). Thank you all!

Aside from the business side of music and gigs, he also allots his time serving as one of the members of the music ministry of

He performs with the Tradewinds every summer in wildwood and Cape May, NJ. Again, you can buy his music digitally at Apple+iTunes and other e-music services or buy the physical CDs at the gigs, cdbaby.com, amazon.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, RollingStone.com and etc.

Thanks for visiting!
