Usually, a professional band's or musician's homepage doesn't incorporate personal life, stories, photos and activities. It defies professionalism but as an aspiring ‘indie” artist, people need to know who you are, what you are, who your families and friends are and what organizations you’re link into and the good service (civic and/or religious) you're empowered into or inspired with... so others may follow or inquire more about those organizations because the purposes are all good and fun.
Families and friends are two of the most valuable gems in this mortal world. They are always there with you whether you fail or succeed. The achievements and success of the artists are the achievements and success of their families and friends. We can't just separate fun, music, friends and family. There should be a bridge or a hub that connects the gap between point A to point B to point C in order to get the best of both worlds.
...but always remember the wiper lesson

Just like the wiper, wipe away or fix your problems first before anything else. After that, you will find peace and have clearer look or view to whatever goals to target!

(Fall 2006)
They are the very reasons why I don't really dream too much because I'm living it. They are my dreams...

Christmas 2006
Pictures/buildings, written history & physical memories
I saw Pope John Paul II's biography and his biographer said that in today's world.... if media isn't around while you do something (important, memorable, etc), then you didn't do a thing. That explains why every U.S. Bishop has its own "The Press" religious reporter all the time... The same thing in music, you don't do a thing if you can't support what you said or what you've done...
Putting memories into substance (photos, sculptures, paintings, music/songs, writings, books, personal websites & etc) often mistaken as self-centeredness, self-glorification and all sort of negative things/meanings (remember, envy, crab-mentality and jelousy are sins too...). Pride can be singled out but explain it to the world of Olympic/sports when winning Gold Metals/Championships bring pride to men and nations and even priests run basketball teams/leagues. Why do we initiate/create/have competitions in in the fields of sports, dance and music in religious organizations if we prohibit the joy/pride of winning? The pride of fun and "teamwork" are the keys. The pride of being a witness of God's Grace, Mercy, Love and Miracle is the best key! Pride of indifference, division, ruins, destruction and hate are different stories (none in this website). What I'm talking about is, the pride of one's uncommon achievements/specialties/miracles/talents/gifts that can uplift other people's spirits like, for example, a picture/video of a group of blind men who can definitely sing and play guitars than I do or better than the people who can see. That's the point. People should and must inspire people!
Media like the "Internet" is a very powerful tool to send your message to the world. It can turn a thing into something. That's how powerful media is. Again, that explains why every U.S. Bishop has its own "The Press" religious reporter. In this high-tech and too doubtful world, proofs are always scrutinized like never before (even the life of Jesus and Bible)... What your right hand used to give/do, sometimes you should indirectly tell them to your left hand and feet too as witnesses. (what I mean is... through your actions that speak louder than words!). You don't have to look weak because you fast but everyone knows that you are fasting. Baptism used to be done in the river/pool but in the high-tech world, it's sprinkle). Sometimes, good people are harshly criticized, judged and locked up because of lack of evidence and witnesses. Laws become more complex and lawyers are so smart every year:) In "mortal" courts, you can't be redeemed without witnesses and proofs. Only God knows what you do and who you really are... but while we still exist in this mortal world, we have to defend ourselves from the attacks of all evils. People can't be cannonized as Saints without valid proofs and it takes years to approve them. In this changing world, we have to be on guard physically, mentally and spiritually.
Memories are so important in our lives... and since we're just passing through this temporary home called "Earth", please take snapshots on every precious moments with your love ones... Surely, the younger generations in the family will proudly tell stories of them all...

Yes, those smiles can really wipe away your pains, anxieties and stress at work and in life as a whole...

Look at the gigantic stone structure near the ancient city of Memphis, serving as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (The Pyramids & the Sphinx), the palace with legendary gardens (Hanging Gardens) built on the banks of the Euphrates river by King Nebuchadnezzar II, the enormous statue of the Greek father of gods, carved by the great sculptor Pheidias, the beautiful temple in Asia Minor erected in honor of the Greek goddess of hunting and wild nature, the fascinating tomb constructed for King Maussollos, Persian satrap of Caria, the colossus of Helios the sun-god, erected by the Greeks near the harbor of a Mediterranean Island, the lighthouse built by the Ptolemies on the island of Pharos off the coast of their capital city, the Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Aztec Temple in Tenochtitlan, (Mexico City), Mexico, the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Philippines, the Borobudur Temple in Indonesia, the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, the Great Wall of China, The Inca city of Machu Picchu, Peru, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy, the Mayan Temples of Tikal in Northern Guatemala, the Moai Statues in Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Chile, Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, France, the Throne Hall of Persepolis in Iran, the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, Petra, the rock-carved city in Jordan, The Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar, the Stonehenge in England, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, the Temple of the Inscriptions in Palenque, Mexico, the Channel Tunnel, the Clock Tower (Big Ben) in London, England, the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, the Empire State Building in New York City, USA, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, USA, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA, the High Dam in Aswan, Egypt, the Hoover Dam in Arizona/Nevada, USA, the Itaipú Dam in Brazil/Paraguay, the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota, USA, the Panama Canal, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Statue of Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Statue of Liberty in New York City, USA, the Suez Canal in Egypt, the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the Angel Falls in Venezuela, the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia, Canada, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Iguaçú Falls in Brazil/Argentina, the Krakatoa Island in Indonesia, the Mount Everest in Nepal, the Mount Fuji in Japan, the Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the Niagara Falls in Ontario (Canada) and New York State (USA), the Paricutin Volcano in Mexico, the Victoria Falls in Zambia/Zimbabwe, the Monalisa and other scientific and art works of the past... Without capturing their photos, seeing the magnificent buildings and achievements of the past as well as written stories, we can never appreciate or learn history and the beauty of nature… (and through history and learning from the genius ideas/works and mistakes of the past, human beings survive/live well…)
Everyone wants to see those amazing places listed above ...but being with the family… is like seeing those wonders of the world!

History, science, technology, info-highway & religion
Can you imagine if there's no God? Can you imagine if there are no physical Bible and the commandments? If we, human beings are part of this evolutionary theory, then, after hundreds of years of study, it still remains a theory... which is a step behind TRUTH... and I still look a lot better than a monkey:) he!he!he!he! There are facts that even great minds of the world can never solve through mathematics and numbers. Albert Einstein was regarded as one of the greatest minds of all times and his mathematical achievements were unsurpassed... but another great mind of all times, Dr. Hawkings questioned some of Einstein's mathematical theorems/rules... Great minds contradict most of the time (but healthy arguments). So with the inconsistencies, science and mathematics are only tools for the betterment of human lives and other things in this world... but it can never explain/equal God and His seen and unseen Power!
Can you imagine if people can't read and write? Can you imagine if there are no music and musicians at all? Can you imagine if there are no historians? Can you imagine if photography, recording media and advanced transportation & communication weren't invented? If only Jesus and His disciples were born in the high-tech years, They would have used all these advanced technologies to spread His words to the world. You know what I mean...

Support-system
Hmmm.... It is very easy to say but too hard to do. Artists like Amy Grant, Michael V. Smith, Darlene Scheck, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mercyme, Bishop so and so and choral groups blossom because of the solid support from the congregation and etc aside from the major labels' salesmanship... Please attend the Fil-American Holy Masses in Saint Monica Church in Atlantic City every second and last Sunday of the month @5pm to see what I mean. Compare the number of attendees to all Fil-American parties not mentioning that 90% are Catholics. I know we have our own parishes to support but once in a while we have to stand and know our own identity and culture. We are too good in gaya-gaya. Oh yeah, we perfected it. That's not a bad thing though since it means that we are great in adaptability but teach your children about our culture and history also. The younger Fil-Am generation may not experience them but at least, know them. How can we reach out to others if we can't even reach out our own? Aside from that, a voice is heard loud and clear especially if the organization is very huge and gives good service to the community (not just to assemble a party:). ...but also, on a good note from an unfortunate or sad situation, it's always great to have a voice and support from a huge group. There is strength in unity, may it be physically, politically and spiritually!

Filipinas in the high-tech world!
So, which one looks very cool to you?

Crab-mentality versus Bayanihan
A young priest once told a story: "A foreigner told/advised the market vendor to close the basket full of "live crabs" ASAP for they might come out. The vendor told him in a relaxed mood, "Oh, don't worry, they are all pinoys:)" Generally speaking because some don't have this unholy trait though. On the other hand, we have one of the most beautiful traits called "Bayanihan" which is currently shown through "Gawad Kalinga" and others. Now, in this tug-of-war of completely opposite traits in our lives, which side are you? Which trait are you going to nurture?
