"Binasuan dance" performed by Bernadette P. & Fe M. Binasuan (beeh-nah-SOOH-ahn)This colorful and lively dance from Bayambang in the Pangasinan province shows off the balancing skills of the dancers. The glasses that the dancers gracefully, yet carefully, maneuver are half-filled with rice wine. Binasuan, meaning "with the use of a drinking glass" in Pangasinan, is often performed as entertainment at weddings, birthdays, and fiestas. "Tinikling Dance" performed by Fe M. , Bernadette P. & Rachel B. Tinikling - is considered the national folkdance with a pair of dancers hopping between two bamboo poles held just above the ground and struck together in time to music. Originated from Leyte Province, this dance is in fact a mimic movement of “tikling birds” hopping over trees, grass stems or over bamboo traps set by farmers. Dancers perform this dance with remarkable grace and speed jumping between bamboo poles. (Philippine National Dance) Our cultural dance being passed on to the new generation represented by Arianna.
